What the container agency covers

  • Local representation and execution of the principal’s commercial and operational instructions within the agreed authority.
  • Daily communication and reporting on operations, equipment, revenue and exceptions as required.
  • Coordination of import, export, full, empty and transshipment containers.
  • Liaison with terminals, depots, hauliers, surveyors and M&R providers.
  • Customer service, release and documentation according to approved procedures and tariffs.
  • Inventory, aging, damage, empty-return and repositioning control.
  • Administration of local charges and detention only under the principal’s authorization.
  • Escalation of delays, disputes, damage and reefer incidents.

Import container operations

Import workflow

  1. Pre-alert Receipt

    Receive manifest, B/L data and container details from the principal.

  2. Documentation Check

    Verify data consistency and follow up corrections before cut-off.

  3. Discharge & Terminal Status

    Monitor discharge and investigate short-landed, over-landed, damaged or mismatched status.

  4. Release & Customer Service

    Process release or delivery-order steps within the principal’s approved procedure.

  5. Empty Return

    Issue approved empty-return instructions and close the equipment cycle.

  6. Aging & Charges

    Follow up aged units and applicable charges under the approved tariff.

Export workflow

  1. Booking Inquiry

    Receive cargo, route, equipment and readiness details.

  2. Approval & Empty Release

    Issue booking reference and approved empty-pickup location after confirmation.

  3. Pickup & Gate-in

    Follow empty pickup, stuffing and terminal gate-in.

  4. VGM & Documentation

    Receive VGM, shipping instructions and required documents before cut-off.

  5. Load List & Loading

    Monitor load status, rollover, no-show and shut-out cases.

  6. B/L & Close-out

    Complete B/L processes and close the operational report.

Key information for exporters

  • Booking, SI, VGM and gate-in cut-offs — where officially announced.
  • Acceptance conditions for DG, reefer, OOG or special equipment — only per the principal’s instructions.
  • Documents required for shipping instructions and B/L amendments.
  • Cancellation, no-show, late-submission or dead-freight terms — only where a tariff exists and publication is authorized.
  • Booking confirmation is issued only through the company’s official channel with a valid reference.

Commercial control

General freight rates or fixed free-time terms are published only when formally approved by the principal with a stated validity period.

Phase two: principal portal

A secure principal portal may be introduced in phase two to give authorized users inventory, aging, damage, M&R and movement reports. Such data is never exposed on public pages.

Reefer & special equipment

Reefer support

Reefer support is a specialist component of Alinili’s container operations, alongside ship agency, container agency and West Asia Express Line representation.

  • Coordination of reefer equipment allocation according to availability and principal approval.
  • PTI, cleaning and initial equipment inspection coordination.
  • Recording of set-point, ventilation, humidity and other carriage instructions per booking.
  • Plug-in, monitoring and incident reporting at terminal or depot.
  • Escalation of alarms, power failure, temperature deviation or damage.
  • Coordination of technician, surveyor or equipment replacement upon principal approval.
  • Support for open-top, flat-rack and other special equipment within the actual service scope.
